Wedding Canvas using diecuts and Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays

Happy Friday Crafters!

I'm sharing an 8x10 canvas I made for a newlywed couple.

Using Liquitex gel medium, I glued down lots of diecuts.  Truthfully-they were in my stash.  Except the married couple-that was cut with my cricut.  The swirls were chipboard and were thicker.  They were put on last.

Then I went over the whole canvas with gesso.  You want to coat it really well. Then I took out my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.  FOUND HERE in Outlaw Women's Scrapbook Emporium Store.
As you can tell, I used three strips of color.  Overlapped them a tiny bit.  I absolutely adore sprays!!
Warning!  You need to allow each color to dry before adding another one or they'll turn to a mud color!
To add the person touch, I cut the letters out with my Cricut-Jasmine cartridge.  After gluing them down, I went over them with the Liquitex gel medium to secure them forever!!

I had a couple of metal embellishments in my stash that I added top and bottom.

The couple loved their gift!

I hope this inspires you to make one of your own!

Julie Nutting Paper Doll Tag

Yesterday, I got out my sewing machine and made a fabric handbag. Dear Husband put my sewing machine away and then I made this tag. I had Julie Nutting's paper doll Natalie already dress in Prima designer paper and the flower already made so all I had to do was complete the tag.
I used a variety of stamps including Prima and Graphic 45. The base of the tag, I used Tim Holtz stencil although it was lost in the background.
The flower circle was made with fine netting from my stash, the center was made with wire and bead.
I used Tim Holtz paper tape across the bottom. Chit-Chat by Tim Holtz and the cute little butterfly is by Prima. Finished tag 4 x 8."

Layered Butterflies

Happy Friday!!

I wanted to share these handmade butterflies.
Use a diecut and cut several layers of different types of papers.  I also included a layer of book page.
I glued them together with Glossy accents.  Then added a pearl or a flower in the middle.

Here you can see the multiple layers.
Aren't they cute?  You can easily make your own.   Add them to a tag, card, or mixed media piece.

Girls Night Out

I love making tags with Julie Nutting paper doll stamps by Prima.

This is my first tag shared last month on Crafting with OWSE using the lighter version of spray:
http://craftingwithowse.blogspot.com/2014/05/mothers-day-stenciled-background-tag.html
And now I'll share the second tag.

As you can see the tag above is much darker in color than the first tag shared May 6.
Place two manila tags onto craft sheet, hold stencil a little above first tag, spray a small portion on first tag and then careful flip the wet sprayed stencil directly on the second tag and pat, remove, wipe excess off with a cloth each time before processing with spray on first tag until you get about one half of tag covered with light color of spray, now spray with darker color of spray using the same technique you used with the light color. When spraying and flipping try moving the stencil in a different direction each time, this will give you tag a unique look.
Some areas can be left blank, use foam applicator with distress ink on outside edges.
 Set aside to dry both.
If you missed my first tag please go look at it: link above.

To finish,
I applied two Julie Nutting doll stamped images that I dressed with scrapbook papers and then added Prima flowers to the tag. Distress Stickles were added over her painted shoes, buttons and hair band on one paper doll.
I stamped shoes, and dress from scrapbook paper on other paper doll.
I used Archival sepia ink with clear stamp from my stash on the tag to finish.

You will find the inks, spray inks, Julie Nutting paper doll stamps, Tim Holtz stencils, Prima flowers, Distress stickles, watercolors, scrapbook papers, and more in the Emporium:
