My 9" Santa doll was made with muslin and vintage wool felt. I've had the felt many years and wish I had more now. I used muslin to cut-out doll pattern, hand sewed and stuffed, next I applied white gesso to head, hands and feet. I used Dina Wakley acrylic paint on feet to look like shoes. The hand were left white. The face was painted with a watery magenta scribble stick by Dina Wakley. Two dots for eyes were made with a Sharpie. A tiny bell was handsewn on the hat. All clothing was handsewn. The hair and beard was made using Bernat yarn.</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I took the first photo, August 18, as you can see I hadn't added that much wool yarn. It was slow going adding wool yarn. The finished stocking is 18" long.</span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While recouping from pacemaker and other health issues I made a lot of felt bears. Most of these bears have gone to family near and far. These bears are 5 inches tall if they could stand up. To make these tiny bears I have to use magnifying glasses because I can't see the stitches without them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The graduate bear (below) was made for one of our granddaughters that graduated from her two year college this year.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last bear (below) I hand-stiched a dress and a made a red felt bow with white curls in her hair. I made this bear for my 92 year old mother. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It takes me 6-8 hours to cut-out and hand-stitch one bear and longer if I make hand stitched clothing.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The bears I made were blue, red, purple, burgundy, grey, beige, teal, cream, medium brown and dark brown. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Update: It's now August 10, I finished my last bear (No. 25) to give to my husband he wanted a blue bear and then I shipped out two bears one to Arkansas and and one to Wyoming. They were just like the bear below. </div>

I've been published on paper magazines many times but nothing recently because I haven't tried.</span><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: #333333; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used my Vagabond to make a burlap and manila tag using Tim's tag die. I used my xyron to adhere the tags together. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: #333333; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Next, I used Tim's layering stencil with texture paste on tag. Later after paste was dry, I used distress ink to color the numbers with ink blending tool. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: #333333; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Walnut and burlap distress inks were used on burlap before adding other items to tag. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: #333333; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used three remnant rubs; it a wonderful life and both numbers on stamped image. Distress markers were used to add color to stamped image. Black distress marker was used around the finished words at bottom of tag. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Crinkle ribbon was inked with distress stain. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Tiny buttons were used with loop pins and attached to bow. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I used Tim's newest tiny flower dies on this tag. A glue gun is the only way to finish the flowers as Tim suggested. I added a tiny bit of distress ink to each flowers on this tag. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">On the upper right and bottom left are photocopies from a vintage hang tag that was on a bolt of organdy I bought years ago. I used matte glue n seal over photocopied ephemera. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I applied a ephemera rose postage stamp from 1995 on my tag and then sealed it with matte glue n seal. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This is Tim's beautiful tag: </span><a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-may/">http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-may/</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I had fun making my tag! Thanks Tim for the inspiration!</span></div>

I love Tim's tag this month!<br />
Tim ask if everyone has had a chance do a tag each month, for me I missed three months this year due to swelling on my legs and leg surgery from October 2013 thru November 28. In the last few weeks I've started feeling better and ready to get back into stamping. I hope Tim continues with the 12 tags of 2015 next year.<br />

I wanted to buy the word script and deer after seeing Tim's tag, I check every shop in our area, they said they were out of stock. Other online shops were out of stock as well.<br />
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
I used what Tim Holtz supplies I had in my stash to make my three tags for December.<br />
I used Tim's festive greenery strip die, Stickles Distress Glitter, Distress Paints, Distress Inks and Industrial Stickers. If you have a chance to buy his Stickles Distress Glitter, do so you wouldn't be disappointed. I used his distress glitter on the deer, phrase and snowflakes. Distress paints to color deer, foliage, bells, snowflake and phrase. Distress inks to color trims.<br />
I completed the first tag far right, I was disappointed using a black ink pad on background, sorry Tim I missed that step using a lighter shade, since I didn't have what Tim used, I inked my snowflake with archival black ink and stamped on copy paper and then on my tag. I had two deer and supplies already painted so I made two more tags, each one similar but different. I ran out of foliage when I worked on center tag. That is the one of our married granddaughters picked out as her favorite to put on her mantel.<br />
Many layers of chipboard were used to make deer and snowflakes with my Cameo. I kept three deer and sent two deer to my mother. She calls me or I'll call her when Tim's tag is up on his website each month. I completed all the tags with a die cut called small easel by Tim Holtz. I love using this die it with my tags to make them stand up.</div>
