Special Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

I hope you have a sweetheart or someone special to love on today!

 

I made this cute valentine to give to my secret OWSE gal.

 

 I cut several layers of hearts with designer papers.  You can cut a heart die or cricut.  Mine are about 4 inches tall.  You want 6 all together.  Make 2 sets by gluing them together and folding them in the middle.  Glue one half on each side of a flat heart and glue the remaining heart on top.  It makes the sides really strong and stand out.
Then I decorated the top with a paper doily, laces, rose petals, flowers and this sweet little girl image.

used mostly Scotch quick dry glue. A ribbon glued in between layers will enable the heart to be hung somewhere.

 I sponged the edges of the heart with Tim Holtz pink distress ink.

Valentine Easel Card & Envelope

I wanted to share with you this Valentine's Day easel card.

They are fun to make and very impressive to give!

Love is in the air-Mixed Media

Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  I made this tag to go onto a gift bag.

 

I wanted to use a large stamp I had.  Choose a designer paper that is neutral.  I stamped all over a 12x12 page with versa mark and then heat embossed the image with red embossing powder.

 

Then I cut a size to fit a card, a couple of tag sizes.  You can choose what you want to use it for-even a layout-it's your choice.

 

 

 The sentiment I simply typed up on my computer and printed and matted on black card stock.

 I hand drew a heart out of some old cardboard I took out of a frame.  Using my gelatos, I scribbled the color on it, used my finger to smudge until it was well blended.  I did ink the edges with walnut distress stain.
